Meet the Band

Gary Fox - Guitar & Vocals

Gary began playing the guitar when he was 6 years old. He took lessons at the local music store in Waxahachie, Texas. Soon, he began playing around the area with different acts. At the age of 25, he started his own band, Gary Fox and Fox Country. The band played at various clubs, including the Crystal Chandelier and opened for big name artists, such as Dan Seals. Gary also had the opportunity to run sound for Floyd Cramer for several months, but he turned down the full time job to start a family. On the side, Gary was a special education teacher for 30 years. Recently, he retired to focus on his music. He is now a full-time musician!

Gary is also a member of the Waxahachie Independent School District School Board, where he serves as the Board Secretary. He enjoys giving back to the community and still being involved in education.

Gary plays rhythm guitar and sings. Gary can play all types of music, but he prefers to sing songs from artists such as George Strait, Alan Jackson, Randy Travis, Hank Williams, Johnny Cash, and Elvis Presley.

Teri Fox - Vocals

Teri joined the band when she and Gary were married in 1980. As a child, she had sung in church, but she had never been interested in a music career. However, like she says, "If you want to hang with Gary, you've got to learn to play something or sing!" Teri's first musical performance was singing a duet with Gary at their wedding. She then became part of the act. Teri worked at Citizens National Bank in Waxahachie, Texas for several years, but she quit when their daughter, Jennifer, was born. Teri has since been a fulltime musician.

Teri sings lead and harmony vocals. Teri performs songs from artists such as Reba McEntire, the Judds, Patsy Cline, Tanya Tucker, Highway 101, and Juice Newton.

Jennifer Fox - Fiddle & Vocals

Jennifer, the 22 year old daughter of Gary and Teri, began playing the fiddle when she was only 3 years old. She took lessons from Valerie Morris, the current Women's World Fiddle Champion, and Johnny Thorne. Jennifer has grown up in the music business. Even when she was too young to be part of the act, she sat in a play pen on the side of the stage while her parents performed. Jennifer is currently a senior at the University of Texas at Arlington. She is also serving as the Student Body President at UT Arlington. Jennifer hopes to "make it someday" singing!

Jennifer plays the fiddle and sings. She performs songs from artists such as the
Dixie Chicks, Emmylou Harris, Reba McEntire, the Judds, Highway 101, and Lorrie Morgan.

Justin Fox - Drums, Fiddle, & Vocals

Justin, the 17 year old son of Gary and Teri, started playing the drums as soon as he was able to hold the sticks. He has never had formal lessons on the drums; he just naturally knows how to "keep the beat." Justin started playing the fiddle at age 9 under the direction of Vicki Nichols. He has had the opporunity to play in Branson for 3 years with the Zebra Strings Orchestra. Justin has also grown up in the music business, sleeping on Gary's guitar case as a baby. Justin is currently a senior at Waxahachie High School where he is the starting center and deep snapper for the WHS Varsity Football Team.

Justin's favorite country artist is the "King of Country", George Strait.
